Official translations have become a service that translation agencies can provide only recently in Hungary. An official translation is necessary when company documentation, contracts, balance sheets, attorney or book-keeper letters need to be handed in to the court system, police, competition or state tenders. The body in question accepts the translation if the agency providing the service has members with translation certificates, meaning they can legally take responsibility for the translation.

However, we need to distinguish between an official translation and an authenticated translation . The latter is only issued by the OFFI (National Translation and Translation Authentication Office), which is a governmental organ. An authenticated translation is needed when personal documents, such as ID cards, passports, birth certificates, good - conduct certificates and similar documents are handed in for translation.

Nearly every translator in our company has an official certificate or diploma regarding his/her translational skills; hence we are authorized by law to issue official translations and proof-reads.

The Middle East is one of the most interesting regions in the world today. Political and business life, with language closely following by, is changing rapidly, with enormous waves of investments having washed over the region in the past 50 years. The Academy of the Hebrew Language creates new words every day and the political elite uses more and more Arab slang when communicating with the neighbouring countries. The practically infinite number of Arab dialects are all based on the Classical One, kept as pure as possible with the representatives of several countries fighting for its cleanliness every day. Syrian slang and mixture of Persian words brought by those who left Iran in the past half a century create new challenges for the conscientious translator.

We mainly deal with Hebrew, Arabic and Farsi, yet if need be we have Kurd and modern Aramaic specialists on stand by. The Israel Translators Association is one of the largest translation agency associations in the Middle East.
